GRACE:

noun...1. seemingly effortless beauty or charm of movement, form, or proportion.

Grace Gardens is...

This blog's purpose is for me to keep a garden journal of sorts. To detail some of the things that I accomplish in the garden and a little of what I do in my home as well. It will also be a place where I will post the photos that I love to take so much. Maybe a place to post my overflowing of pictures that I particularly like or find artistic. Some posts will be wordy...and some may have no conversation at all. Just a post to bring back to mind a lovely day or a meaningful memory. I have disabled the comments on this blog, but feel free to e-mail me for any questions about what you see here. My e-mail address can be found in my profile.

morning and evening shots around the garden

I have been taking many photos in the garden lately and my favorite times are early in the morning about
7:30 to 8:00 and in the evening between 7:00 and 8:00.

The next few were taken in the evening.

The shot below is walking out to the clothesline which is by the pasture fence.

This is a tiny pocket garden off the deck of the studio.

This statue of Athena moves all over the garden from year to year.
Here in my part of Idaho we can't leave our cement statuary out during winter
because the extreme temps will crumble the concrete, so we
put her in a protected spot on the deck under the eaves of the studio
and put her out year to year.

These next photos were taken in August when the phlox were in bloom.
They are still blooming but a downpour we had recently too a toll on them so
aren't very photo worthy.
We sure needed the rain so while it beat down some of the flowers it was still
more than welcome.

Thank you for visiting Grace Gardens today.
